The 2026 recipient of the Scroll of Honour are Lyle and Diane O’Hara.

Congratulations to Lyle and Diane O'Hara for receiving the FVSRDA Scroll of Honour. They started dancing in their university days at UBC and have danced with and were on the executive of numerous clubs, currently with White Rockers. Lyle organized multiple caller schools and has assisted John Corrigan at White Rockers for the last several years. In 2025, Diane went to Cuers' School and started cueing rounds at White Rockers.

They are both active members of V&DCTA since before the earliest records of the association (September 2001), attended the meetings, helped with various functions and helped with the dances. Lyle was social convenor of the V&DCTA for some years.

Lyle was president of V&DCTA for 4 years and was past president for 8 years. He and Diane are Promotion Committee members and have worked on many projects such as dancing in malls, flyers and brochures, sidewalk signage for clubs and the Coffee News advertising . They danced with Diamond Country Dancers, a demonstration square dance group that promoted dancing with numerous dances each year.

Lyle served two years as 2nd VP in the BC Square & Round Dance Federation.

This couple embodies years of effort and dedicated service.
