Marg started Square Dancing in 1964 with her husband in Trail where there were 3 Square Dance Clubs. in 1966 a Round Dance Club was formed called Dancing Partners thus starting her love for Round Dancing. With this keen interest in their new recreation they were off to dance at many dubs in their area. They met a lovely caller couple, Vic & Millie Graves, and for the next 15 years they became the Graves' travelling companions with much travelling on the States side of the border. Spokane was a magnet, as a Square Dance Hall had been built there and there were nightly dances with Special weekend Dances at this hall. They also travelled to Alberta as well as to many special dances in B.C. The first year that they joined the Trail Regular Club they became Representatives to the Kootenay Association. Next came being Vice President and of course on to being President Couple of their Square Dance Club. The next step was on to the Kootenay Association as 3rd Vice President Couple, then 2nd Vice President Couple and then 1st Vice President Couple and eventually President Couple for the Kootenay Association.

With the help of another couple they even produced a weekly radio program about Square Dancing for a period of 3 years.

In 1976 they became the Teacher Couple for the Dancing Partners Round Dance club thus began career as a Cuer.

In 1985 she lost her husband due to a sudden severe Heart attack while skiing. Friends raffled around her and convinced her not to give up her dancing and cueing. With the help of a Caller/Cuer from Spokane she was able to carry on for the next 5 years before moving to Vancouver in 1990 where she just enjoyed meeting people and dancing at different clubs and events for a few years. In 1993 Anita Adams retired from cueing for the Chuckwagon 8's and she was called upon to take over cueing for that club then on to cue for Motov8tors where she still shares these duties.

Marg cued at both National Conventions in Vancouver and organized the Cuers for the 2000 Convention. She has cued many times at the Penticton Jamboree. She, along with her partner, was the Round Dance Coordinator for the Vancouver & Teachers Caller/Cuer Association from 2005 - 2009.
