Peter started his volunteer career as secretary for the Swinging Singles in 1986. He has been a member with the Swinging Singles Square Dance Club since he started dancing in 1984. He has been the Building Fund Chairperson for the Swinging Singles starting in 2016 and has worked endlessly for the Building Society, first as Vice President, then President, and finally Treasurer until it was dissolved in 2015.

Peter was the FVS&RDA Director, and also served as the BC Federation Director for the FVS&RDA.

Peter continued to volunteer for other positions in the FVS&RDA. He served at Vice President in 2003, then stepped up to President from 2003 to 2005. He was Past President from 2005 to 2007.

In 2016 -2017 he was asked to attend a meeting for the new Societies Act and helped to establish the guidelines.

He is still a long standing member of the Swinging Singles Square Dance Club.
