Sandi Poje started dancing in 1980 with the Tillicum Twirlers.  She and her husband also danced with the Chuckwagon 8's and the Royal Swingers.  When she became widowed in 1984 she joined the Swinging Singles Square Dance Club.

Sandi has been a leading member of the Swinging Singles Club right up until the present time. Soon after joining she became active serving on Committees and the Executive; as Treasurer for two years, Vice President a couple of times and President for many more years. To advocate fellowship amongst the members she has hosted Grey Cup parties   and pancake breakfasts.

Sandi has given much personal time to the benefit of the Club.  For example she has produced large colour pictures used for decorating, of every graduate class since the inception of the club in 1969, and has organized many events for the Club. For her dedication to the Club Sandi was awarded an Honorary Life Membership of the Swinging Singles Club in 2009.

Continuing her service to the square dance community, she has started working actively for the Fraser Valley Square & Round Dance Association.  She has acted as Social Convener and Treasurer, served on the Classic Gala Committee and currently is Club Chatter Editor for theValley Circle.
